With a nod to its two-decade history as a nonprofit organization in Roseville, Calif., and in recognition of a reinvigorated dedication to the community and vision for the future, Magic Circle Theatre has changed its name to Civic Theatre West.

The name change, paired with a new tagline - Stages of community - a new logotype and the establishment of exciting new vision and mission statements, are the culmination of an evaluation of the theatre group's goals and objectives which was initiated by the theatre's board of directors last summer.

For the last three months, Magic Circle Theatre has been looking at various ticketing software programs in an effort to provide to our patrons and customers, the most comprehensive online ticketing experience available. Tickets to all of our events are now available for you to purchase online.

The Tony Award winning musical, Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn opens September 11th for a 5-weekend run at Magic Circle's Roseville Theater. Based on Mark Twain's beloved novel and propelled by an award winning score from Roger Miller, the king of country music, this jaunty journey provides a brilliantly theatrical celebration of pure Americana.

Charles Dicken's beloved orphan who “asked for more” sings into life in Magic Circle Theatre's production of Oliver! in our Tower Theatre location.

Broadway's greatest hits meets Broadway's greatest satirist in this loving and hysterical musical revue opening April 3 in Magic Circle Theatre's Tower Theatre location.

It's not the Superbowl, or the NBA Playoffs, or even Roller Derby… but the world of Community Theatre has it's competitive side.

Due to popular demand, Magic Circle Theatre is extending the run of Neil Simon's Chapter Two by three performances.

Northern California's favorite holiday musical, Rodger Hoopman's SCROOGE, will be presented at the Magic Circle Theatre, 241 Vernon Street in downtown Roseville, December 14-23. This is the 29th year that SCROOGE will be presented during the holiday season. Scrooge will open with performances at 2pm and 7pm on Sunday, December 14th and plays December 17, 18, and 19 at 8pm, December 20 and 21 at 2 and 7pm and December 22 and 23 at 8pm. Admission is $22 general, $20 students and seniors and $12 for children age 12 and under. Loge seating is also available.
